Beckside path

We are aware that the Beckside path is very difficult to get along at the moment, especially downstream of the waterworks, with nettles and himalayan balsam overgrowing the footpath. The path is a North Yorkshire Council responsibility, and they have advised as follows:

As of Monday [their contractors] were still cutting in the Harrogate area... Hambleton is next, so [it should take place] within the next couple of weeks. The growth has been accelerated due to the alternate spells of very hot weather then very wet weather that we’ve been experiencing – good for gardens but not for public rights of way with lots of vegetation next to them!

NYC are being helpful with updates, which we will pass on as necessary
